Short Barreled Rifle's legal in Minnesota?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Does anyone know if short barreled rifles are prohibited by state law in Minnesota? I have searched the statutes and can only come up with Short barreled shot guns being against state law. If so can you point me to the appropriate statute. Also I have heard that suppressors are allowed if kept as a "collectors item". Any details on this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

the Federal rules, but on the federal level you can still make a SBR after paying the $200.00 tax. I need info on any state laws in MN prohibiting a SBR.

Contact you local BATF office, they should be able to tell you if you can SBR in MN. Then you need to find out if your local chief LEO will sign off on the app.

There is a web site called tripple break products(or something like that) and titleII.com that have a list of states and what you can apply for in that state.

Try this
http://www-2.cs.cmu.edu/afs/cs.cmu.edu/user/wbardwel/public/nfalist/nfa_faq.txt

According to this list you can SBR, SBShotgun,AOW and LBDD
