When I bought my Enfield from Dunhams a month ago I also bought a box of PMP 174grn .303 British.I was as impressed w/this ammo/brass as w/the Winchester I later bought @ the range.
As the PMP brand was noticeably less expensive I'm wondering where(besides Dunhams)I might buy some more.My web search hasn't proven fruitful as yet.
Thoughts?Input?Positive suggestions?:)

:cuss: :cuss: how do folks luck into the stuff i wind up doing this --> :banghead: over?? i'd love ANY kind of non pakistani 174gr load esp the PMP but i can't get even a good whiff of it's trail locally..
anyway....
Century sells the PMP, but last i checked (a month ago) they were out of the .303 and were not expecting any more in till after the new year. i'm gonna check back with them next week (by phone their e-mail record with me sucks will explain below).
I tried to order a case of the 174gr PMP from them as a sort of B-day gift to myself and to have ammo for my new Savage built No4Mk1* back in early Nov. got a notice saying order received, sent in the little legal release they send out the first time you order ammo from them, then didn't hear a fart in the wind for almost a week. so i called them up got a hold of the customer service line, guy there told me that yes they had my order, no my card had NOT be charged yet (already knew this), that the ammo not being at their warehouse was the reason, and that a shipment from South Africa wasn't expected till january.
anyway here's the century PMP page http://centuryarms.com/store/en-us/dept_16.html
BTW at $125 a case this is also the cheapest .303 i've been able to find other than the Pakistani garbage, and i like my enfield too much to shoot THAT trash.

Thank you,Detritus.I figured that the $14.75/box I paid @ Dunhams was a wee bit high.
I think I'll be ordering a case for myself about mid-month.
Also thanks for the link. For whatever reason I've never before been able to peruse Century's site.

be aware i have also heard a rumor that PMP may have slowed production of it's comercial ammo lines and that it might be a little longer before Century gets any new shipments.
this of course is in my oppinion just a rumor.

Midway has it listed, but it's OOS. Natchez has some .303 for under $8/box...think it's S&B.

Ah, that explains it. The Dunhams I frequent always have it as Store Specials. I really hate how they do that. Last week, I was looking for a new gun cabinet. One in Bay City had it for $120, Midland one had it for $80. Same cabinet, Midland just had theirs on Store Special.

re.Dunhams?Jefnvk? This perhaps belong on your stripper clip thread but the only 8mm ammo on clips at the Plainfield store in GR I've seen on multiple occasions was 8mm Mauser.
IOWs,they had the rifle but no ammo.I shouldn't be suprised given what kind of store it is & what their main focus seems to be.I'm just glad that there is a mil-surp store in GR area.

Hey ya'll, I just now found PMP .303 British 174gr SP for $11.47/20rds at Sportsman's Guide. They got FMJ and FMJ BT too. Of course, add shipping...

I'm hunting some more of it 'cause Cabela's, where I found that first PMP I bought, ain't carryin' it now. Find something you like and sure as eggs'll break, they'll go and discontinue it.:cuss:
Somebody told me that PMP stuff is loaded to the old MkVII ball spec. I've shot about three boxes and they ain't lyin'... it's hitting at or close to point of aim at 100yds and probably close at 200yds. Actually I need to find some MkVII ball too.
