I would like a handgun chambered in 357SIG to round out my collection but I can't decide. The gun will primarily be a range gun and doesn't need to be concealable. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Sig P229. Pretty much designed for each other. Also lets you interchange a .40S&W barrel.

Sig P226, Sig P229, Sig Pro SP 2340, Glock 31, or Glock 32, depending on which trigger/action you prefer. If you want really small, consider the Sig P239 or Glock 33. You really cannot go wrong with any of these pistols. I own all of these. The new Springfield Armory XD-357 Tactical looks intriguing, too.

I like both Glock and Sig Sauer pistols about equally. I've shot both the Glock 31 and Sig Sauer P226 in .357.

If I were to purchase a .357 Sig pistol it would easily be the p226. It was more accurate in my hands and I like the way it handled the quick recoil.

This is the only 357SIG I own....the sig pro 2340. Great pistol, which I find a little bit easier to shoot than the P226 in the same caliber. A very underestimated pistol.

I've shot 3 diff't guns in 357sig; a Glock 32, a XD 357 and a custom 1911. I'm not going to recommend the 1911 only because of te expense involved. Of the 3, I would go w the XD....nice trigger, reliable, really good accuracy and a great value too!

Another vote for the Sig 229. It is beefy enough to handle the .40 and the .357 Sig rounds.

I've been extremely pleased with my P229 in .357SIG. Had it about 15 months now. Not a single FTF/FTF. Gets lots of jaw drops from the surrounding lanes on an indoor range, though, especially with UMC 145gr. ball. Sort of a large, bright muzzle flash, but it's the only commercial loaded ammo I've had a flash situation with. YMMV.

Rabbit.

Suggest Glock M31 as most-tested reliable choice.

Finally decided to go with a two-tone P226 in 357SIG. A little pricey so I used layaway, looks like a little OT is in my future :D

Thanks for the replies everyone!

Me likes my SIGpro 2340.
Laser accuracy, good ergonomics, 100% reliability, light, yet overengineered.
