Does anyone make a factory loaded semiwadcutter in 9mm? Where can I get some?
Thanks

I've never seen a SWC factory load in 9mm., although I've loaded my own with cast 124gr. SWC's. The closest I've seen in a factory load were some truncated-cone JFN's - I think Hornady made some in the 1970's or 1980's, but I could be wrong on that.

I have used cast 140gr SWC for 38Spl so a .357 rather then .355 of 9mm & in so many cases the .355 should be replaced by 356 or 357. They shoot well be it my Browning P-35 or CZ-75 & latter is a must for .356 or.357 bullet tips.
Mind you with SWC make sure your feed ramp is polished & you have a decent cone to accept the SWC. Friend of mine is now starting cast 140 SCW of .357 & they go well through his Browning P-35 as mine ONLY the idea came from the 140gr SWC I had reloaded & let him try out. Oh yes then cut a target hole rather nicely like any 38Spl will with SWC.

I've had pretty good luck with Federal American Eagle 147 GR American Eagle FMJ FP (Flat Point). Federal Load Number AE9FP. It's a subsonic round and makes a decent hole in paper targets, if that's what you're after. Used in LE alot, too. I've looked all over for SWC's with no luck. Flat point or hollow point was what I found in factory stuff. Flat point less expensive.

BOOM!! That's exactly what I need. Flat point. I suppose I was using the wrong term. Flat point / semi wadcutter / whatever 9mm round I can use to punch a clean hole in the paper target is what I am seeking. American Eagle 146 gr Flat Points. Got it. I'll have a look.
Thanks.

Amadeus What will you be shooting the 147 gr Flat Points in? It's a pretty heavy round; I've seen nothing heavier in factory 9 mm. Have a thought about a heavier recoil spring if you have an older pistol that doesn't seem to cycle right.
BTW club buys and some online sources have this ammunition at or below $7.00 per 50 rds.
