VCDL (Virginia Citizens Defense League) needs the help of ORGANIZATIONS to push for CCW in National Parks.

Please read the above link, then get on the horn to any and all contacts from ORGANIZATIONS (not individuals, unless they can help push the orgs).

THANKS!!

I understand that this Request for Rule Change is being rewriten to correct the wording. Maybe we should wait and see what the final draft says. We would not want to look foolish.

I saw the mention of the revision in the works which, you described, BUT...

Let's not sit on our hands waiting until the perfect draft arrives to expose organizations to the link for their review, and encourage contact with VCDL as they see fit.

To clarify the comment by hightech: Phillip Van Cleave (head of VCDL) posted later at the link above - "There is a new draft (revision 1)... that is being reviewed by one of our attorneys. It addresses some potential loopholes in the original draft. I expect it to be posted in a day or two. Keep in mind that the PRM is showing suggested wording for the regulation. It does not have to be absolutely perfect at this point, since the PRM states in plain English what it is that we are asking the NPS to do. The NPS, based on input during the comment period, can draft the language differently - which is probably quite likely.

We should strive to get the language of the bill as good as we can. But we must be careful not to lawyer or nitpick it to death or we will never get anything done"

Let's roll!

Thanks!
