Cohiba, I see you are still working with your #22 reticle. This is good.
Have you shot a box or two of the Federal Match through your rig with good results? If you have access to a chronograph try a box or two over it at a target of known range. Get a good zero early on and watch your group sizes as well as variations in velocity.
If groups are good and velocity is consistant move your target to a more distant known range. Adjust your scope to that range and fire another group. If the adjustment you made on the scope brings your group back to mid target things are well in the world.
Take note of the velocity and standard deviation of the shots that you have fired if you have been able to use a chronograph. If the Fed Match passed muster on your group and come up test all you need to do is work up a load that has the same velocity as the Fed. and anything that you can do to make the standard deviation lower will improve matters.
Lacking a chrono I can tell you that on a sunny day with a temperature in the mid 80s, relative humidity of 80 at an elevation of 310' and cronograph screens centered at 13' from the muzzle one M1-A hybrid produced the following data:
Federal 168 gr. Match. 2593 Avg. FPS. Standard Deviation 17.
Home Brew 168 gr. Match 2528 Avg. FPS. SD 14.
Now the big disclaimer.
I AM NOT AN AMMO LAB AND I DO NOT HAVE DEEP POCKETS.
Home Brew was assembled using Lake City Special Ball cases of the same lot. Case prep was thorough. Projectile was Hornandy's 168 gr HPBT. Primer was Fed. 210M Powder was 43 gr W-748.
Cohiba, I can't even tell you if this might be a good starting load in your particular rifle. I would suggest looking at loads that will push a 168 gr. HPBT at 2600 fps safely in your rifle and try them.
Sorry for the long winded response but duplicating loads has been a problem for me abd if anyone comes up with a duplicate of M118 Special Ball I would dearly love to hear about it.

its been raining every weekend. if sat is clear i'll get out and shoot some TAP to see how it matches the BDC set-up. i have a pal that does all my reloading and he just micked a lot of differen brass and found out the hornady LM brass to be the heaviest walled. i'm gonna have him build up the rds in 10 rd lots till we get a precise match.
