Curious as to what front sight options on revolvers (ramp, insert, Partridge etc.) people have found they liked or disliked the most?

I've had good luck with the partridge on my MKII, I find the worst thing for my sighting is shooting at an indoor range with poor lighting (never been to one that has good lighting...). This is kinda why I'm getting the night-sites, I need a bit more of a front sight in order to get focused....or something.

All but one wear the Millett orange-ramp front blade; love it.

The one that doesn't wears a Ruger gold-bead front, but I think it's too small for me eyeballs. :what:

I was looking at that gold bead sight...they had a set at the local store an I almost got them for my GP100.. but yikes...small..

Probably going to get a red insert done on the wife's Tracker....

as i get older, i find that the BIG round front sight is alot easier to pickup.

most of my carry guns have 3 dots, but i find heine's straight-8 faster to line up...the ashley 24/7 big dot looks very promising.

IMO the gold dot is just too small and the red ramp isn't very helpful either (oblong just doesn't seem right to my eye)

I really like McGivern Bead front sights. They really pick up the ambient light and are highly visible.

All my target guns have thin, tall Patridge or under-cut sights. One by one, I've had factory front sights replaced with these, and they help.

My carry guns have garden variety ramped sights, since I'd prefer they not chew up holsters and clothing.

Anything but a red ramp sight.I prefer red ramps. I can't see Partridge sights worth a darn in anything other than perfect light. YMMV.
