I own a CZ-527 in .223. It shoots extremely well off of a rest. When shot off hand, I have difficulty shooing accurately due to it's light weight.

Has anyone attempted to add weight to the inside of the stock?

Any other ideas I haven't thought of. :)

You sure must not have the varmint laminate .223 like I do! I have the opposite problem with mine, as I found out last weekend while shooting jackrabbits. What power scope do you have? For standing shots, I always turn my scope all the way down on magnification, as even 3x at close range makes me follow the target in little circles.

I have the CZ-527 American (blued, walnut stock) at 5 1/4 pounds.

I have a Redfield 2x7 mounted on it, and usually leave it around three power.

Shooting sticks? Lead weights in the stock? Harris Bi Pod? I need to do something to steady it down.
