I've been seeing pictures of the troops in the Gulf of late and noticed that the flags they display on the right sleeve of their uniforms are displayed incorrectly, stars in upper right instead of the upper left as mandated.
Can anyone tell me why?

I wonder if you are seeing a mirror-reversed image?

Then it would have been on the left sleeve and all of the M-16's would have been left hand models.

Had to deal with a porn spammer.

We now return you to your original program. (even if it's slightly off-topic.)

Going off of memory, I believe that when the American flag patch is worn on the right shoulder, it is appropriate for the blue field to be in the upper right corner. The reason is that when the soldier is walking forward, it would look as if the flag were snapping in the breeze.

Country Boy is correct. "The Field Goes First".
