Right now I've got a TacStar extension on my 870 that doesn't match at all.

The guns an 870 Express Synthetic. Anybody making something that matches the finish a little better?

Different finishes can happen even on parts from the manufacturer, given the differences in metals used for various parts. It is doubly hard to get aftermarket finishes to match a given gun.

That said, it seems to me a dark parkerized finish matches the Express bead-blasted blue finish better than a semi-shiny blue, which is what the blued Tacstars I saw have sported. But there are various colors of parkerizing too, so just because something says 'parkerized' doesn't mean it might not be a light gray or even green.

Personally I don't worry about it much, YMMV. There's a polished blue 21" rifle sighted barrel on the bead-blasted blue/synthetic furniture 1100 that's my 3-gun shotgun, for example.

Most parkerizing on extensions is more gray in color and doesn't match the black Express finish.

About the closest match I see is on the standard "blued" (black) Choate, and on the black sulfate of the Remington factory unit.
