My FFL just called me to let me know my 226ST is in and ready for collection. That's the good news (apart from parting with cash!).

I ordered one spare mag to be added, assuming (maybe silly assumption) that the gun would come with two. He says - ''only one mag'' in the case ... ***? He tried to check with SIG but was on hold so long and busy - so gave up.

My question is quite simply ... is it just the one?? In which case I am not a happy camper ... and disappointed would hardly be the word, considering this is somewhat of an ''upmarket'' piece. Perhaps I should have checked first but anyways - you SIG'o'philes on THR - what's your input??

Can't say for true, mon ami, but my latest SIG (and my earlier) came in a case with a foam rubber insert that contained TWO mags.

My Colts have mostly come with TWO but around 2000 they went down to ONE mag for a while and cut the price of the gun a couple of twenties. They are back up to TWO the last time I checked. HTH

My CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) P226 came with two. One was in the gun. Did your dealer check the mag well?

I think somebody up the food chain ripped you off.

Hmmmm ... thx Big for responding. Well considering they have hiked the prices of late this makes things less than pallatable ... tho FFL did say case when he opened it did not look like anything was actually missing. :(

OK guys ... panic over! On strength of your posts for which many thx .... Jim Watson's mention re mag well got me to thinking.

Just called my FFL and asked for a further check with Mk I eyeball and scrutiny!!! Yep - one in mag well plus the #2 ... and then my extra order of #3 is separate. <sigh> ... all is well ... thx again.

I'll close this now as we have a resolution (well I would if my darned thread tools hadn't disappeared on me!!!) .... all that remains is me having to take a coupla Tylenol before I go and collect and face the pain of payment! :D
