Am I correct in thinking that any weapon I buy online must be shipped to a liscenced dealer?
And is it the same with ammo?
Thanks

Ammo can go to anyone old enough. Firearms need to go to an FFL holder, or if they are C&R eligable, to a C&R holder.

Other weapons depend on what the weapon is.

Ok, (pardon me if I sound like a moron here) but will any gun store be a FFL holder?

Ok, (pardon me if I sound like a moron here) but will any gun store be a FFL holder? I don't know for sure. If you are getting a gun shipped to them, you need to tell them about it before hand anyway. People react strange when a gun just shows up in the mail. :uhoh:

There is a list of FFLs here you can look at:http://www.gunbroker.com/User/DealerNetwork.asp

I think most of the FFLs on this list will handle internet transfers if you want, if you call them to arrange it. In addition to this list, some gun stores will do it, others won't. Various reasons why, not liking competition is surely one of them.
