I've got a 16 gauge Model 90. There may be some old posts about it on the site. Mine has double triggers and fairly open chokes. My guess is improved cylinder and modified.
The NRA Guide To Firearms Assembly says production started in 1937 in 12 gauge. Smaller gauges were made after WWII. It was discontinued in 1960. Some .410 gauges were made, and a small number of combination guns. Gun Parts Corp, had some of the combination barrels (in the white) for sale in a Shotgun News ad recently. A single trigger version was introduced in 1954.
My 16 gauge gun is slightly heavier than my Italian 20 gauge grouse gun. It handles well and I broke quite a few clay targets with it last fall. I missed the only grouse I saw with it this fall, but it wasn't the gun's fault.

Marlin Model 90 shotgun were one of the first over under guns offered to American shooters.
They were very decent guns for the era they were produced in.
Today, I would suggest shooting the gun sparingly.
Parts are hard to impossible to come across, the frames are made of iron, not steel, and heavy modern loads will create problems in fairly short order.
Value wise, these guns can bring $150.00 to $400.00 in average condition.
