OK, I was reading one of those SureFire mags and noticed an ad from the good folks at Strider. It says,
WARNING: .. Do NOT attempt to purchase a Strider knife unless you are prepared to use it for the purpose it was built to serve.
I took the time to visit the Strider facility when I was at Camp Pendelton. The good folks at Strider were accommodating and overall nice folks. Needless to say, I bought a number of Strider knives for personal use and I'm quite impressed by its quality, rock hard solid No-bs knives.
I don't know of any knife manufacturer who discourages people from buying their knives?
:)
