Wow, with the tracers in, you can really see those rounds bounce. Do you think those red ones were using tracers every round?

I'm sure it's only every fifth round, the extremely high rate of fire makes it look like that though (IIRC around 6000 rpm on the high setting)

Wow. The red tracers are coming from a Littlebird gunship, mounted with two miniguns. That's why the spray is so dense. Incredible firepower.

If new MGs are ever allowed to be registered, I'll do anything up to and including selling bodyparts to get my hands (if I don't sell those too) on a pair of gatling guns.

Barrel life 150,000 rounds? I wonder if that is per barrel, or per barrel set? At any rate, with a 4,000 round magazine at a weight of 285 pounds, I wonder if they carry a spare magazine? Do they have to return to base to reload?
Any way you cut it, that is a lot of lead on target from one gun.

Does anyone know the name of the music in the background?

Very familiar music but darned if I have a title - sure someone does.
The rate of fire is nothing short of staggering ... did notice tho (editor's licence) they repeated several bits of footage to make the whole - not a prob really, seeing as each time you see a section, the jaw drops another half inch! :p

The classical piece is "Carmina Burana" by Carl Orff.
I don't know who the "thrasher" stuff is.

You can buy them now. If you have around $250,000 for each.
Even new, they're not cheap. Around $30,000 I believe.

"Trapped Under Ice" by Metallica.

I have no concept of what being on the receiving end of a minigun would be like. :what:
Pucker factor would probably be off the scale.

If anyone wants to watch it again see if you can see the part in the video where what looks like a four wheeler drives into the scene. It is almost in the very middle of the video when they are shooting the red tracers that are then bouncing off the ground. I can't imagine why you would want to be on the ground when they are breaking out the mini gun!!!

Thrasher? THRASHER?!?! :fire: :neener: That my friend is an example of Speed Metal by one or the former masters of the art Metallica. The cut is "Fight Fire With Fire" (rather appropriate IMHO), off the Ride The Lighting CD. (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000002H2H/qid=1106434276/sr=1-4/ref=sr_1_4/104-9951752-1283153?v=glance&s=music). Trapped Under Ice is a different tune off the same CD.
'Course, it took me a bit to recall and verify the tune. Its been years since I've listened to any Metallica, and that the ONE disk I don't own a copy of. :D
COOL video though, 'specially with the tracers in the load. I may have to send that one, along with the other machine gun shoot posted this week, to my gun fearing friends in Europe. Maybe title it "Americans at play"

I cant help but wonder if the RX7 I saw getting shot up was the sand rail from Monster Garage.
