Does anyone know where I can get a follower for an Ishy (.308) mag? There`s a little tab on the right front corner of the follower that looks like it keeps the top round in line with the bore and it has broken off on mine.

I don't know about the follower, but J&G Sales used to sell the whole magazine, and maybe they still do. I didn't see one on their website, so maybe a call would yield better results. Here's the link:

P.S. BTW, ain't the Ishapore Enfield .308 a great rifle? Man, I really love plinking at the range with mine. Since I put a PH5a peep sight on it, it's become a heck of a little (okay, not THAT little) bolt action "assault" rifle.

The magazines turn up on eBay from time to time. And there's seller over there named enfieldman or enfieldguy that sells parts very cheap. I bought a brand new buttstock, brass buttplate, two screws, rear sight 'V' and a bayonet for about $25 shipped. Good guy. Doesn't seem to care to make money. If he can help you, he will.

Check with Sarco too. I thought I saw the follower, or the whole mag, don't remember which, in a relatively recent issue of SN. Don't have the issue in front of me to be sure.

I got one a few years back from Gun Parts. It was a new, aftermarket mag, and solved the feeding problem with my rifle. It cost $35.

The cheapest I've found for .308 Enfield mags in from Cheaper Than Dirt. Brand new mags too.

I found the guy on ebay bidding on an item but can`t see how to contact him. Do you have to be registered on ebay to pull up member profiles?

I think you need to be a member to contact another member.
Let me look back through some old emails.
