Gotta stop buying guns....

Wandered into a pawn shop today... I had been in before, but they rarely have anything good and usually prices are kind of high. Last week I picked up an E. German mak for a great price at a different store and this week I found a really nice FEG PJK-9HP. I have been wanting one for a while and they are getting harder to find. This one has the nicest bluing I have seen on a gun in a long time. Really dark and smooth. It is used, but looks like brand new. Came with Houge finger grips and the originals. Only one mag and the instruction manual. No box. $200. I know, not great, but not bad either. That makes 3 guns in a short time. CZ-85 Combat (new), E. German Mak ($130) and this FEG. Gotta stop going into gun shops and pawn shops. I'm starting to think I might have to sell one of my other guns. It is just so hard to part with them.

I notice personally, I buy in spurts. I might go a long time w/o buying anything and then I'll buy a bunch in a short amount of time...
I rationalized it as being 'normal' :D

Congrats on the new guns buy the way ;)

makarov, you have been assimilated. Welcome to the too many guns to buy, not enough money club. Seriously though, DO NOT sell anything if you can afford to. I almost sold a gun once and was glad I didn't have to, I'm sure I would have regretted it.

met a guy today at the range shooting a freedom arms convertable,454 casull,45 long colt,45 acp,and let me fire off a few rounds.
what a nice shooter, the 454 rounds rolled right off your wrist with a nice fireball, and was pleasantly surprised how smooth they shot.
now I gotta find another $1000 to spend.:fire: :cuss: :banghead:

If Freedom Arms made a six shot instead of a five shot in Casull/.45 Long Colt they'd have my money tomorrow on a new revolver.

What's the deal with the five shots anyways?

Nothing to worry about 3 guns in a short time . Heck I know a guy that has bought 7 handguns in 1 month. Now thats a GUNAHOLIC.:D

I just spent the last five weeks acquiring six new additions to my family . . . kinda came into some money recently.

Anyway, I can "feel your pain" but understand the compulsion.

Picking up a S&W pc 66 f-comp Saturday. I have to make it a point to leave my credit card at home because if I don't I'll be walking out with two guns.

Reducing the round by one creates enough metal between chambers for ultra-strong cylinders.

Welcome to the pack.

I too am a "NORMAL" gun nut. Yep, I have sucker written across my forehead and can rationalize anything.

"But honey if the backup to the backup gun breaks I want to have a backup so I can keep you safe."

"But honey a Grizzley bear could end up in our suburban court. I mean stranger things have happened. What about those elephants that ramapage from circuses."

"Now honey what if 6 heavily armed men come crashing into our home looking to do us harm. You will be happy I have a few 30 round magazines ready to go."

"But honey this isn't a gun. It is a piece of history. Something we can use to teach the kids with. It is an antique."

"But honey revolvers are very reliable and your life is worth it to me."

"But honey......hey put that gun down.....what did I tell you about pointing guns at people.........not the knees..........no I will not give up the checkbook......ok here ya go. "

Too many guns is one of those myths that doesn't really exist. Unfortunatly, too little money is a truism.
