It depends on what you want on your M1Super90. My version came with a regular stock and rifled sights. ( I am going through a less is more stage right now) Since I dont shoot slugs I decided not to go with a PG and Ghost Rings.

I did mine on Gunbroker and got it for 805 plus 20 shipping to my FFL. I paid an extra 3% on my credit card for cheap insurance. The PG/Ghost Ring tactical version can be had for 855. Thats the best deal that I have found on the M1Super90. I have seen them sell for as low as 500 because the person who had it was a girlie man and thought it recoiled  If you can a new one cheaper than 805 you've got a sweet deal going for you.

Once you have a Benelli M1Super and Nova your set :)

Here are a few auctions for you to look at. I am no way associated with any of these.

700 for this LNIB model PG and Ghost Rings

Thanks 45R... I've been bitten by the "Shotgun" bug... I've always been a pistol guy, but I'm yeilding toward changing that path anytime soon... just want to make sure that I'm not going to regret switching...

Thanks again.

XD40,
Duke and Skunk bless the Nor Cal crew with Benell-illness Thanksgiving 2003 when they brought 3 Benellis up north. Sactown and I were hooked. It just took some time for that shotgun bug to fester. :) I am a pistol, then rifle and shotgun guy. If you have a place that you can shoot it on a regular basis, you'll love it!!

But does he own 301 acres? :D

Nope?

Neither do I!

Private property is a great place to shoot!

I cant afford the Super90 yet, but I may have to start from the bottom of the chain... and start with Nova Pump.

...i don't have to go through initiations (run around the campus, butt-naked)to join the Brotherhood, do I? hehehe

I have to agree with 45R on the Nova.

The Nova is a great shotgun.

It's priced just right for a pumpgun. That and the Winchester 1300 are my two favorite pumps.

Thanks Jim and 45R... any other suggestions on good pumps that I should consider?

I'm just going to list the new production guns.

Winchester 1300
Mossberg 500/590
Remington 870
Benelli Nova
Ithaca Model 37

ALL of them are generally good. Lemons get into the orange grove from time to time, but they are all well built shotguns.

i saw this at my local gun store (Remington 870 Express, Nickel)... what can i do with it? is it just ideal for home defense? or can i hunt and shoot stuff with it?

Is that Nickle or SS? That looks like the marine model.

If you buy something like that you can always purchase a 26 or 28" barel to go with it to go hunting or for clay games.

its actually nickel... it looks really nice. oh and yah i thinks its a marine... are barrels expensive?

Barrels for 870s are pretty cheap. You can find a extra 28" barrel for around 100 bucks :)

I'm contemplating between the ff:

Benelli Nova

or

Remington 870 Marine, Nickel

Hey 45R, thanks for putting with my ignorance... peace,

You'll like both shotguns. If I had not purchased an 870 pump I probably would have bought that NOVA after shooting it. As it was I spent the money on an 870 and have been pretty happy with it. I have changed its primary duty a few times. You can find parts just about anywere and if you get bored of it you can dress it up to do something else. :)

Try out the one that best fits you and go from there.

well for right now, i'm not looking into become a hunter... i'm not into any long-gun competition... i might mess around with skeet, but limited to backyard-outlaw shooting...

...so what's left is home defense, and/or again, just for messin' around. ...i'm yeilding toward the Remington, no offense to the Benelli Brotherhood... but worry not, someday, i'll be able to afford a Super90.

...thanks for all the encouragement and advise
