brother brings me his 1100 that is not ejecting,ok, new barrel seal,piston,piston seal,clean gas ports. gun now ejects,BUT will not feed up from carrier.
so in the order of things I'v tryed-carrier latch,carrier assembly. neither works,gun still not feeding up,but it is still ejecting. after checking my notes on the 1100,I see that a bad action bar can mess with carrier dog and cause,slow or no rerlease of carrier assembly. change out action bar--- gun fires for 6 roungs -life is good. go to try 3 more rds and gun will not eject Again.
don't now about feeding,can't get there yet
talked with rem factory,told them all i'v done and they are at loss. say send gun back in.
have I missed some thing,ever heard of any thing like this??? OH yes, even tryed with a new barrel that I have,no ejection.
open to all suggestions

Where does it hang up? Do the shell stops let a shell out onto the lifter, and the lifter just isn't bringing it up, or does it not even go that far?

In my experience, about the worst thing you can do is start replacing parts without really analyzing the problem. Not only do you spend a lot of money (or the customer's money) but you obscure the real problem in the process. At this stage, I recommend you send the gun back to Remington.
