Women fight back during early morning home invasion
It was early Tuesday morning when Bunnie Thornton thought she heard a noise in her home.
She was right.
At the end of her bed stood a man demanding money from her and her partner Ginny. He was armed with a crowbar. As he raised the crowbar threatening to kill the two women, he got his weapon caught in the fan. Ginny and Bunnie took the opportunity to fight back. Ginny grabbed her sword and Bunnie snatched the crowbar.
They beat the suspect until he ran from the home screaming.
Police are linking this case to two other home invasions in the Seminole Heights area.
