Heard on the news last night that signatures are being sought in order to put the issue on the ballot for later this year. Does anyone know where I can find this petition?
It's time to recall Davis!

Try www.recallgraydavis.com You can sign up for one there. You should read my reply to your question about the recall you posted on the 5th. Says the same thing.

Recalling "Red" Davis would just take his party off the hook for his screw ups and misdeeds. Cruz Bustamonte, the lieutenant governor, would become the acting governor, who can then claim, "Hey, I didn't make this mess. I'm just doing the best I can," as he runs for governor in the special election.
Davis wants to run for the presidency. He needs to simmer in the stew he made to kill his presidential aspirations.

Pilgrim,
During the recall, they can put someone else up for Governor. Cruz Bustamonte would not automatically become the Governor unless there was a failure to elect someone else in connection with the recall.

Skunky come lately, but how do people think the results would be any better than the last election's? (uninformed of the recall process)

You are quite right. I should have looked it up.

The way things have gone out there for the last several years, the clueless would probably elect another DemocRAT or a major RINO.
There really is no excuse for voters not to be informed in California. They have some of the best voter information guides in the country. The problem is, very few people take the time to read the voter information guides and they go in and vote for every bond issue and the incumbent because they don't take it seriously.
Here in KY, they don't give you all the information like you get in the PRK. So, if you want to know what's going on here, you have to spend some time looking it up.
I really do hope Davis gets recalled. I can almost hear the giant horse laugh coming from the State now. If you could get the former Secretary of State, Bill Jones, in that would be very good. He is pro gun and I think he is smarter than Simon. Simon would be alright too. He didn't lose by all that much in November. Too bad he couldn't keep from stepping on his tongue.

Petitions to recall the governor are a California tradition. Every governor back to Ronald Reagan has had a petition circulated to have him recalled. This one will go as far as the others did; nowhere.

Davis is really stupid.
I saw an article today where he wants to sue the federal government for additional security costs due to the WOT that CA is having to pony up. CA's getting $45 million out of some $550 million the feds have allocated. That's 8% and CA is 2% of the states in the U.S.
The reason Davis is so stupid on this is that he thinks it's better for CA residents to pay taxes to the feds in order to get some of them back for CA's use. He doesn't understand the most elementary aspects of tax redistribution. Like a typical democrat, he must think that "federal dollars" just magically appear.
Go recall! :neener:

In this morning's LA TImes, there's a story on Davis' 27% approval rating. Guess it shouldn't be too difficult to find enough disgruntled Californians to get this on the ballot!
