Anyone have the Winchester 1897 by Norinco and if so how do you like it?
Also, what do you figure a good price is on one brand new?

Hi there, I picked up one a few weeks ago, but I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. The quality seems excellent and I like the fact that it has an exposed hammer, making it more user-friendly. Pricewise, they seem to range between $350-375. Sure, there are cheaper shotgun alternatives, but the Norinco is a nice copy of the original trench 1897 shotgun. Try ordering one through davidson's at www.galleryofguns.com. Or you might be able to find one on gunbroker and have it transferred to an FFL near you (no tax).

Recommend you go to the SASS site and search "norinco" in the SASS Wire forum. There are a lot of posts about these guns. The good news is that the recent ones have gotten pretty good. The early ones had some issues.
