star bm 9mm.. parts hard to find?

is it true parts are hard to find for the star 9mm? I'm kinda leaning toward this over the makarov or bersa for ammo availability and stopping power..

Not super hard to find but they are beginning to dry up.

Better choice would be a Kel-Tec P11 or the Bersa/Firestorm.

If you really like it, they are cheap enough to get a spare pistol.

Some parts from other 9mm Star B* pistols will work. I replaced the barrel bushing with a bushing from the BKM model. I used a mag release from a B, and I got a new recoil spring from Wolff by giving him the spring's specs.

That said, if you have the funds and really like the gun, get 2-3 so you'll KNOW you have parts.
