To what pro-gun organizations do you belong?

I hear conflicting reports as to what pro-gun organizations
are worthwhile.

Some are supposedly way too compromising and others are extreme to the point of alienating some gun owners and supporting pro 2nd amendment lawsuits that might end up eroding our rights even further.

What organizations do you belong to and why?

If other tell us which ones so we can check them out.

NRA - Not really happy with all of the compromises and political butt kissing that they seem to do, but they DO have the clout.

CRPA (Calif. Rifle and Pistol Assoc.)
GOC (Gun Owners of Calif.)

I figure it this way. We’ve spent somewhere around $12k since we started down this road known as “being gun owners” (that’s just between Aug 02 and now) so I figure the few bucks that go to any organization that is willing to be a voice for us is worth the price of a couple of boxes of ammo.

At the moment, just the GOA.

NRA, GOA, JPFO and state org. for me. I support them because I believe they ALL help maintain 2nd Amendment Rights.

NRA and GOA and I am considering the Arizona NRA affiliated organization.

Second Amendment Foundation
The National Association of Federally Licensed Firearms Dealers

to paraphrase Marx
I will never be a member of an organization that would have me as a member.

I've been an NRA member for a long time.
I'm an NRA member because the NRA swing's the "biggest stick" among the lobby groups. I KNOW the NRA has a lot of members, however I'm a little disappointed when I can't get an e-mail answer. They don't respond. It's rude but I'll support them, plus the magazine is good.
I just joined the GOA and I plan on joining the JPFO. You don't have to be Jewish to join JPFO and one of their members said something on Fox News the other night that made an impression on me. ~"Good people are tired of being vilified in this country simply because they own firearms". I couldn't agree more. That night is when I decided to join JPFO.

I recently paid off my Life membership to the Texas State Rifle Assoication

I am planning to get a life membership to the NRA and GOA, but I have not decided which one to get next.

NRA and CPRA. I personally feel that my CPRA dollars are better spent. Their publication, "The Firing Line", comes each month filled mostly with updates from the frontlines on the battle to defend the second amendment here in CA.

I sometimes look at my NRA contribution and really wonder where it goes.
