i see alot of people not putting in their state on their sales, wants ,etc in the trading post. is there anyway can make them to. examples like required in heading or won't let them post ..so don't have to search for local sales.and though the ads ,then no state id in there user name id.would be easier for everyone.i think anyways. thanks for your time

While I feel the posting of the state of residence is necessary for ads selling/trading guns (where FTF deals may be in order or desireable) and possibly quantities of ammo or large bulky items, this is not true for smaller, mailable accessories. If I'm selling a holster, magazines or some other small item why should the buyer need my state of residence info posted in my ad? Unless the buyer is really close by I'm gonna mail the item anyway. It is usually not worth my time or money to deliver an item locally, when I can mail it anywhere for less than five bucks.
I support the required listing of the state of residence for firearms sellers, but required listing of the same info for accessory sales is unecessary. If the seller wants to do a FTF sale of accessories they will no doubt post the needed info, including their location in either the header or the body of the ad.

Can't force anyone of course but - IMO always useful to put state in brackets, whatever the item. Tends to catch the eye better when your own state.

99% of the time I'll open up anything for sale that has KY in the title just to see what they've got - even if I know that it isn't something I need/want.
It may not be required but it is good marketing.
