Desert Eagle - Cond. 1?

Leaving aside the technical (or should I say engineering?) issues with carrying a DE, are they safe to carry C&L? Seems to me that it's a pretty stiff safety, and should be OK even without a grip safety.

Yes, it has a half cock position should the hammer fall and when the safety is on the firing pin is also locked on both sides.
