I'm in Southern California. Is there a range or gun club that offers safe firearms storage for a reasonable fee? Or is that not at all a viable idea?

All you are doing is concentrating your and others weapons, making them easier to steal/confiscate!

I realize steal/confiscate is redundant.

Harbor Freight has a small steel safe that can be bolted down and is big enough for 4 or 5 handguns. Electronic lock with a key backup for when the batteries die. 40 or 50 bucks.

Gunsafes go from there to several thousand bucks. A good safe is better and cheaper than the heartache and expense of replacing your collection. Insurance is great, but how do you replace Dad's or Granddad's home sporterized Smith Corona?

The security of your guns is your responsibility!
If TSHTF are you going to have time to go get your 'stuff' from the club lockup?
Is the mayor gonna send Ossifer Krupkey to 'Keep them gun nuts from getting their guns to shoot them poor innocent looters?"
