I can now say that this gun has all the gadgets!

It came with factory-installed Trijicons. I added a CTC LaserGrip, and most recently (today!) a Streamlight M3 w/ the adapter.

The gun also has a bunch of internal mods from LTT (http://www.langdontactical.com/) A SpeedBump trigger (shortens the overtravel), extended mag release, a "D" model (DAO) mainspring, and hex-head grip screws. It also has the Wolff trigger conversion return spring (Mine's the "light" spring, I should've gotten the standard weight unit, for better trigger reset), The gun also has had a trigger job.

It does nightstand duty with a full 15 round mag... :)

That is one of the few "tactical" pistols that I like. I guess I have a soft spot for the Beretta 92. They are SWEEEET and smooth. I will probably not sell mine ever.

How does it shoot w/ the light attached? I've been contemplating a light for one of my pistols but I'm concerned re: the light throwning off the balance of the gun...

Carbon fiber grips! but, but it's got LAZER grips. That's gotta be way more tactical

I remember my first experiance with the Beretta 92FS. I fell in love with the gun ater the first round fired. You can never go wrong with a gun maker that started in 1526. Do me a favor next time your at the range. Pour a handful of sand on the barrel/slide and see if you get jams. When purchasing my Beretta, the store rep told me this was the problem in Afghanistan. Well, he was full of sh_t, My Beretta has never jammed after 4000 rounds, nor did it jam after the sand in the open slide test. Beretta is a very reliable gun, one worth betting you life on. Heavy and large, but who cares about looks in a tool. The open slide design is one of the best on the market, and one of the most innovative. One of my friends has a XD-9 and claims that it is vastly superior to the Beretta. Well, during our 400 no oil test, the Beretta never jammed once. The XD-9 could not even keep up. 50 jams in 400 rounds, but not all pistols are the same. The sand test did not go over well with the XD also. Trust me about Beretta, they are the sidearm of the U.S Military for many reasons. Don't fall for the BS about SIG, who complained about the solidarity of the mud in torture tests. Does a Beretta 92FS feel like it is a cheaply made pistol? Right

Update:

I shot the gun in a local bowling pin match. (VERY Local, we shot at candlepins and duckpins!, New England for sure) The light didn't shift around, and was quite secure. The lens didn't get dirty at all from residue (I shot 50+ rounds of lead, indoor range rules, you know!)

The adapter for the light is plastic (OK, "polymer") and molded very well. It fits the frame as good as can be. One nylon-tipped set screw presses on the front of the trigger guard.

@ Hackworth92FS,

This is just a post about my 92...no need to get all weird about it, and don't throw any sand on ANY of my guns, thank you! ;)

RussB, what's the point of impact on the factory trijjies?

and the Beretta is high on my list. One of the salesman at our gun range and shop uses it as his sidearm. It sure is purdy.
