I am not very informed about about ar15s, so I need your help.I might be misinformed, so please correct me if I am.



From what I take it, Colt is not making m4s, that have all of the features that were banned during the assault weapons ban? Like the telescoping stock, for sale to non LEO?

Is armilite doing the same thing? I looked on their site for M4s and I didnt find any with telescoping stocks?

What about Bushmaster? thanks.....I am only interested in M4s.

They sell an M4 style model. I just bought one (XM15-E2S). It has a 6-position stock, flash doohickey, bayonet lug, pistol grip, and the M4 style barrel with the indention. It also has a threaded barrel. First one like it that I saw with the threads.

phantom, the colt m4's are out there, mostly being sold by individuals lucky enough to have their distributor/dealer sell them the rifles before colt decided that was against their business vision.

expect to pay a lot more than the rifle is really worth. often you will see them offered on places like ar15.com but no one will buy them at the inflated price.
the problem is that people want to make a good profit on them, and are often unwilling to budge on their price because they wish to buy for a nickel and sell for a dime. if it were me, i'd be happy to buy for a nickel and sell for a nickel and one or two bits.

Actually a Bushie can come closest to the M4 since Bushy will sell ya a gun with a 14.5 bbl (and a Phantom brake)...

Armalite is selling prebans to civilians. Maybe they haven't updated their website. I saw their new ar180b with picatinny rails, flash hider and bayonet lug, so I'm pretty confident that they have post postban ar15s.
