OK so its time to get my next gun and I am not sure what to get. I think I narrowed it down to a .380. Then I had thought I had it nailed with the Bersa .380 because it fit my budget. Then in searching the forum I ran across the Colt Mustang .380 and WOW now I am trying to figure out what to due. Save more money and wait to find a good used Mustang or just get the Bresa? Why does this hobby have to be so habbit forming.

If you plan to shoot it a lot I'd get the Bersa. The Mustangs are starting to have collector appeal and cost too much for a range gun IMHO. If you plan on carry, the Mustang would be better, but for the same size/weight/price you could probably get a used Kahr in 9mm or .40S&W which would be much more effective should you ever actually need it!

If you plan to carry the gun, also look at the Kel-Tec P3AT. I just picked one of those up and I have been extremely impressed with this "mouse gun". Much more accurate that I expected. With the right pocket holster the gun disapears in your pocket.
If you are set on one of the two you have mentioned, then my vote goes to the Bersa.

Plus, note that .380 ammo is typically more expensive than 9mm...
A Kahr P9 would be superior in most respects. (I have a P3AT and hope to get a P9, soon.)

I agree with Walt, as per the Kahr P9. I have a Kahr P9 Covert (shorter grip than the P9) and I love it - accurate, relieabl, and reasonable weight, and the shorter grip helps a good deal with CCW aspects. A great gun and chepaer to shoot than a .38. :)

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the Mustang was a single action. This would preety much require a holster or elimate condition one carry in a pocket.

I wouldn't spend a lot on a .380 due to cost of bullets. The Bersa isn't bad due to being inexpensive....but if you intend to shoot it a lot I agree with the others......get a 9mm.

The P-3AT weighs 10oz loaded and can be purchased for about $220 at gunshows in north central Texas.

I have P3AT and Bersa Thunder - and would choose Bersa over the KelTec ...if I can accomodate it. It is of course heavier, robust and, because of weight easier to shoot accurately. IMO
The Bersa is, (ask Horge) a very worthwhile piece to own.
