Remington 700 Feed problem

Ive got a Remington 700 VS in .223 and it has a problem loading into the chamber. Only when there is 2 shells left in the mag though. When there is any other number of shells it feeds fine. Just on the second to last one it pops the shell and almost comes out of the gun.
Is this a spring tension problem? How should I go about correcting this?

It could be a mag spring tension problem, but it sounds more like a follower problem. If it is a new (or near new) gun, I would suggest contacting Remington.

Well I bought it used, but I know I could send it Remingotn to take a look at it. But I have my scope all rigged up and I have the trigger set at 2.5lbs, and Ive heard that they reset the triggers when they come into the shop. I dont want to go through all that if the feed problem is something I can take care of
