I was wondering, does anybody carry more than one knife on them for the purpose of dual-wielding? I won't consider myself ambidexterous but i am very fluent using a knife in each hand and i carry them to do so.
Does anybody have one for each hand or do they keep OS in one hand and a knife in the other or do you just keep one hand free?
Thanks!

I carry two, each located on a differant side so I can grab whichever one I can get to with whichever hand is free. I could dual weild if I felt like it, but that's not why I carry 2. I would rather keep 1 hand free for grappling, digging out keys for the car for a faster escape, etc . . .
They're two differant blade shapes but that's more for variety than any kind of fighting effectiveness. I use the blades on my Leatherman for utilitarian tasks so my fighting knives stay sharp and unmolsted.

I was carrying three knives at one point. My primary, a $30 Gerber in my right pocket (dominant side), a cheaper sling out knife on my left, and a knock off S&W Swat in a belt pouch at seven o'clock.
The plan was, use the Gerber. If I need two, I have a backup in the left pocket. If someone else needed a knife, I had two to loan out. I got a Winchester knife for Christmas...can't wait until I get back in the groove of things (if I was ever IN a groove...I need to get out more) I'm going to figure out a way to carry all four. =p

I don't have room for 2 knives -- the darned mags take all of the available space. :p

I have 3 knives on me 24/7, but one of them is a generic-brand slipjoint trapper, 1 is on my Leatherman Micra, and the third is my self-defense knife, an Emerson-Perrin LaGriffe. My left hand is pretty worthless for anything other than grappling, so I don't bother carrying anything extra for it. The LaGriffe is equally accessable by either hand, though.

I carry 3, for different purposes.
A MiniBuck on keychain for letter opening and tape cutting.
A Leatherman PST (which has a blade) for basic utility stuff.
Spyderco Lil' Temperance for self defense, serious use (seatbelt cutting, skinning animals, etc)
I am an experienced fencer, I fight Renaissance fencing (realistic, not on a strip, etc) in the SCA and my favorite style is Florentine, sword and dagger, and I'm decent at it. Being functionally ambidextrous helps.
But in a knife fight, one knife. The other is for traps and locks.

I carry two or three quite often, but I'm honest enough to admit that it's mostly because when I get a new one I hate to retire the others. ;)

when i am going out with friends: i usually carry a gerber in my right pocket along with my ASP baton. In my left pocket i carry a 2 sided knife (generic) my butterfly knife. I also usually have 2 keychain knives (one of them is a little 1 inch switch blade :))
when im at work (office) i carry much less :)
