Finished the wife's Ithaca 37 DS 20 gauge 3" in time to give it to her for valentines day! She also demanded flowers and a dinner!
It started life as a NIB14" AOW pistol gripped 'stakeout' model that I won on Auction Arms for $100 -minus barrel!. It is an 'Ultralight ' model and the front rattail is black stained walnut with the hand strap fixture. I won on E-bay for $60 the Fagen 20 ga. finished stock NIB. I put a Decelerator pad($25) on it at 13" LOP. I won the 3" Deerslayer barrel NIB on Auction Arms for $135. So I am in it about $325. I have the pistol grip I could sell for $25.
I shot it sunday with 10 slugs putting the sights on at 25 yards, pretty much a big ragged hole at that range! Doesn't kick too bad with lighter bird shot loads although it weighs 5 3/4 pounds! I decide to keep barrel at 25" as it will be used mostly for pests, the rifle sights will help her hit, especially the wild turkeys she sees coming around the chicken pens! :)

Looks good to me, Gordon. I'd not start her out with 3" shells, though. Some ultralights until she's acclimated.

A shotgun that light is a shoulder chisel with less than good form and heavy loads.
