I have seen a couple of threads asking about a good quality .22 for plinking. I bought a BSA Red Dot for my S&W 22A a couple of weeks ago and had a chance to get to the range and sight it in today. WOW, what a difference that little dot makes opposed to the fat front post common on these pistols. This target is 20 rounds fired from a rest at 25 yards. Not at all bad for me. I would highly recommend this pistol to anyone.

I bought an Ultra Dot red dot sight for a .22 match pistol in the hope it would help a great deal. It helped some. I've found it helps even more to use a Merit peep sight with red dot scopes.

I have the S&W 422 6" bbl. Had a smith tap it and put the same scope you have. What a blast to shoot!
