This is a link to the transcript where a CNN reporter violates the 1968 GCA wonder why he wasn't charged.
I for one will call the U.S. Attorney in Houston and the Two Texas Senators tomorrow and ask why. :cuss:

Laws only apply to the sheeple, not the elite media doing a 'public service'.

Wouldn't that be something. Them demonstrating how easy it is to legally get a gun, then being arrested for obtaining it in an illegal manner.
But of course, it'll just come back to be 'this is how easy it is to get illegally, we have to restrict legal sales to cut off this problem'

That's why I don’t watch CNN. I can’t stand their liberal bias, makes me :barf:.
What realy amazes me is they don’t even try to hide it.

Who in the heck would pay $2,500 for an item, or receive $2,500 for an item without producing some kind of receipt?
In the good ol' days, I could see it. And perhaps for "shady" deals too. And a few people probably "just do things that way."
But if I was paying that kind of loot for anything, I'd be wanting a receipt.
I just find it hard to believe that the only paperwork was the cash involved.

Don't expect anyone from CNN to be prosecuted. Recognize that the laws only apply to peons and serfs like us, and not the elite.
Besides, they will scream about violations of their 1st Amendment rights, while trying to destroy your 2nd Amendment rights.

Now I am intrigued.
Does anyone know if gunsamerica allows you to search recently closed auctions?
I think it would be fairly straitforward to find the seller and ask them what exactly went on.

for any news organization to give us a list of the crimes committed during the last 20 years where one of these firearms was used.
While the 1000 yard range tends to get thrown around alot I doubt if any of the reporters have actually tried to shoot anything at that distance.

I'll say it again...
CRIME HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BANNING FIREARMS!
If 1/2 caliber rifles were used in crime each and every day, the government STILL has no right to tell me I can't have one. Period.
Stop trying to use "but it wasn't used in a crime!" When it is, will you say "okay, ban it"?

Does anyone know if gunsamerica allows you to search recently closed auctions? I tried this last night and didn't come up with anything. There could be a couple of reasons for this:
1)Guns America may not keep recently closed auctions viewable.
2)There's a good chance that this story was written, shot, and edited weeks or even months ago. While most news stories tend to be a day-to-day affair, investigative stuff often has a much longer lead time. I know that in local nooze, reporters will often be putting together a story for Sweeps far in advance of it actually airing.

Just like nothing came of Kerry accepting an illegal firearms transfer, nothing will come of this.

Does anyone watch Fox News Watch? This might be something they would sink their teeth into. I just don't have time to document it and send it to them.

I am surprised Drudge does not have anything posted about this. He has been kicking CNN hard lately and one would think this would be right up his alley. Has anyone submitted this as a news tip to him yet?
Also, what is the limit to what laws a reporter can brake in the name of "freedom of the press"? Could a reporter shoot someone for a story to show how dangerous guns are? :barf:

Last time I checked, you're still not allowed to rob a bank so you can film a story on how easy it is.
Or leap out from an alley and mug someone, either.

I was commenting on the journalistic style differences between those stories which speak of banning the .50 bmg guns versus those that speak of banning those evil, black .223's. Most stories about the 'goodness' of banning the "assault" rifles contain the obligatory list of instances where one was used in a crime. I don't see that same type of list in these stories about proposed .50 bans.
It appears you were not able to understand the purpose of my post. Most unfortunate.

Sure you are. It is just your INTENT that is legal or illegal. What a crock.
No man is above the law.
