I will be the proud new owner of a M65-5 with 3" bbl in a few days and have a question.
What is the best way to carry a K-frame with that size barrel? I plan on using it as my daily carry if I can figure out how comfortably.
I am a pretty big guy, 6'5" 250. I was thinking of a pancake. Something that makes the gun ride pretty high, since I mostly wear t-shirts or pullovers untucked most of the time. Do you think I would be able to pull this off without looking like I had a growth on my side?
IWB is not my favorite way to carry anything bigger than a j-frame but would that be a better idea for this size gun?

I prefer to wear my (4") wheels on my weak side IWB butt forward. I can draw weak-handed and 'twist' the gun counterclockwise as I begin my 'point', rotating gun muzzle-down.
Very fast.
Perfect when driving.
Reachable with strong hand.
This, of course, may not work for all.
I'm ambi.

OTB more difficult without garment adjustments.

Concealed; remember. :what:

A good compromise is to wear an IWB as a BPB (between belt and pants)....much more concealable than a pancake and only slightly less than IWB....but mucho comfortable....

Mod 64 3"
mod 19 2.5"
mod 66 2.5"
etc
Have carried IWB, OWB, Pancake, Mexican, and CIP (chunk it pocket...glass breaks coat pocket and go...)

WS2: good point about driving

I came to prefer IWB with snaps that fit over belt. I would try before you buy. Range? Friends? LEO's ?

I'm close to your size and have been carrying for 30+ years. My recommendation would be to re-consider your dress code. Even a IWB is likely to show with a revolver, under a t-shirt, on guys our size. Since you are in the South, I would recommend loose fitting cotton shirts, like a camp shirt or Hawaiian shirt. Make sure it is a dark color or has a pattern - both help cover printing. A sleveless undershirt makes the gun more comfortable but you slightly warmer.

Remember it is supposed to be "comforting" not "comfortable"!
