Ruger MK512

I'm thinking it might be time to trade in my blued Ruger MK512 for a new one. Maybe a Competition model or a limited edition I saw awhile back?
What's a blued Ruger MK512 in fair condition worth these days? Looks like they're $300 brand new. Is $150 reasonable?
Thanks

If it's in good condition & w/o seeing it directly, $150 is a fair price...maybe even a little higher if you've had any work done or is coming w/ any extras. I recently saw a 22/45 in good shape sell for $200.

STOP!
With Ruger having QC problems these day's, I don't think
I would depart with a perfectly good Ruger, in order to
buy another one. I would just hold onto the one I have
and shoot it until it wears completely out!:fire:

I agree...
Hang on to it. Customer service is still great, but there's a much greater chance of having to use it these days IMO.

Maybe I'll spend some dough on upgrading to some Volquartsen parts instead ... $90 lighter trigger / sear and $10 extractor. Can any reasonable smith install them?

Might be a while.

I would also keep the Blued Ruger .The Volquartsen parts you mention are fairly easy to install your self .You might want to try ON Target .com for those parts his is pretty fair in pricing and if you have a problem on the install you can call him and he will help you.

IMO you already have one of the best models of the MKII there is, don't sell it! I know mine will be one of the last guns sold if worse comes to worst. But then again, I won't care if it gets sold at that time since I'll either be in the OFH or SFU.
