P3AT or similar

I'm looking for a small semi-auto for those times when I don't want anyone knowing I have a gun.
Small, light, thin, etc. are all desirable, so I guess I'm looking at a subcompact single-stack like the P3AT.
What I'd really like to know is: is there another comparably sized gun out there that I should know about?
I know the Kahr PM9/40 is pretty darn small, and so are the NAA Guardians.
Anyone have any experience with one or all of the above?
Other ideas?

If you get a P3-AT that's reliable it's easily the most bang for the buck mouse gun of its size available. It seems all the new ones have been reliable, mine included.
I can't see going out and spending a lot on a really nice one if there's one out there that works well enough. These pistols are designed with self protection in mind, not for target use.

I also have a Kel Tek .380. It is good for what it was designed to do. It's so lite it will jump around when shot, but hell it's a belly gun not a target shooter.
Hang on tight and it is remarkably accurate at 5 yrds.

Get a newer model (HAAxx) or above & you'll find the P3AT to be very reliable. And accurate at short range too. I just drop it in my pocket as I go out. I like it better than my NAA mini-revolver .22mag because there's more handle to hang on to so it points better.

Kel tec is coming out with a second generation P3AT. It is supposed to be more reliable and easier to disassemble. They should be arriving at dealers soon. :)

I certainly can't think of any gun that I could carry concealed earsier than my P-3AT. But I needed to file off some sharp edges where the plug fits into the bottom of the grip. That part is forcefully snapped back into my palm on every shot and it rubbed me wrong rather quickly. Now I can fire a box and not have a sore there.

I find the KT serials confusing: some have 3 letter prefixes while others have two. I'm looking at a few in inventory for instance - one is HFA00 and the other is HF990...which one is newer?

HFA00 is newer than HF990. In the alphanumeric sort used by Kel-Tec, alphebitic letters come after numeric numbers.

The KT P32 and P3AT's are very easy to conceal. I carry my P32 back right pocket. It balances out my wallet in my back left. It is extremely flat and extremely comfortable.
It is also is surprisingly accurate for it's size. My grandfather who carried a little .25 for years was amazed that he could hit a target from 10 yards with a gun that size.

If you plan to carry your small semi-auto next to your body, especially during the summer, invest a few extra dollars and get a hard chrome slide. Even with upgrades, this P-3AT was under $300.

I do plan on carrying it in sweaty situations. In fact, one of the reasons I'm looking at the P3AT is to put in a pocket or fanny pack when running or cycling. There seems to be nothing else out there (besides the P32) that isn't at least twice the weight, and thicker to boot. Not to mention much more expensive.
I haven't yet found a dealer that has one in stock, so when I order one, I'll order all the goodies I need right off the bat.
I guess I'll wait until the newer model comes out. Supposedly it's 15% heaver, but 115% of 7.2 oz is still only 8.3 oz. If that makes it more reliable and durable, I'll just make that sacrifice.
