Its such an evil little demond  . Im really considering doing somthing like this. I saw this on Kurts Kustom Firearms. The way i see it i can get a 7.62 upper with bolt and carrier from model 1 sales and get a Colt Sporter 30rd mag. There suppose to be super relyable and id be sweet to shoot cheap 7.62 surplus. i prob wouldnt get it SBR but id still be sweet.

Wonder how much fun that would be to hang onto in FA mode....

Or at least, a contractor to Uncle Sam, namely Knight's Armaments in Vero Beach/Titusville. Derived as an answer to Afghanistan, where there's lots of surplus 7.62x39 and AK magazines lying around.

It's called an SR-47:

How does it feed? There are usually issues with 7.62x39 magazines not feeding well in ARs due to the straight mag well.

Thats the sweetest part. it uses hybrid mags.....they could be found for about 40 bux. Its one fourth ar-15 and three fourths ak47 mag and is suppose to feed incredibly relyable. and no modification to your existing ar-15 lower :)

bad idea. Why not just get a 7" M4?

For the money that upper costs, why not get a milled receiver AK?

Why not just get a real rifle?

To the three above posts: since when did buying a new gun have to make sense? :p

It might not be very useful, it might not be cost effective... but I bet it's fun. Sure, a regular M4 of the same size would be cheaper, blah blah. But that's not what Magnum wants.

*sigh* Alrighty... I guess I understand. Ah well. :)

To be perfectly honest, Bushmaster's Carbon 15 Type 97S pistol has a little bit of appeal to me... and I don't even like ARs :uhoh: :o

Does anyone make a reliable 20 or 30 round magazine for the AR in 7.62x39?
