As some, if not all of you, know by now, 'ol denfoote has joined the cult of the 1911!!!! (GASP!! :what: )
Well, I have been slowly function and accuracy testing the pistol over these past two weeks.Well, the results are in. Today, I was freehand shooting at the end of a #10 coffee can at about 15 yards. I didn't have a tape measure with me, but my hand fit comfortably over the group. When I returned home, I measured the width of my hand. It is 3' wide. So, the group size was about 2 1/2 in!!!!! :D I also tested 230gr Federal Hydroshok and Remington Golden saber with perfect results. When I first dissembled the pistol, I found out that someone had done throat and feed ramp polishing!! All I need to do is put some bigger sights on and have some polishing done in the trigger work to alleviate the grittiness. Yup!! This one's a keeper!!! :) :D
