I am considering buying a DeSantis "Top Cop" holster for my birthday and have a auestion for anyone who may know. It is for a Firestorm .45 compact, which is a 1911 clone, and is extremely close to a Colt "commander' in dimensions, (standard 1911 size and features, but with a 4 1/4" barrel instead of 5"). this particular holster lists 5" barrel 1911 colts and 3.5-4" barrel length colts, but not a 4 1/4", like most of the other holsters they carry do. Will the one for the various 5" 1911's work for mine? any input would be helpful. Also, any input on this brand and model of holster would be appreciated. (i.e.:quality, concealability, etc) Thanks in advance.

Desantis holsters are good, not milt sparks, but good for the price.

They are also friendly and easy to talk to so call them and ask, if its not a perfect fit they may be able to adjust it a bit or suggest another holster that will fit better.
