Can anybody out there tell me what the differences are between the older Remington 725 and the current 700 series?
Thanks in advance
Mac

The Remington 725 was the "deluxe" version of the 721, 722, and were all discontinued in 1962, and Remington then came out with the 700 series.
It says here "Although the 700's have changed somewhat since that time, their actions, except for the trigger guard and magazine, are still almost identical to the 721-722 actions."
Quoted from Bolt Action Rifles, by Frank de Haas, 1971 edition.
Hope this helps.
