What should I look at for a .45 Colt carbine partner for my Uberti?
I'd be interested in something reasonably period, foreign is ok. I can do a decent trigger/action smooth (no real material removed) so rougher is ok too.
Shortish barrel (20"?) Lever's fine but if there are other slightly more ideosyncratic action options I'm open.
If it can take "modern" cartridges (not B Bore level but not restricted to "cowboy fun only" either). that'd be cool too.
Speaking of which, what is a safe in the Uberti SAA-clone but hotter than "cowboy" load I could look at? Nothing to rattle teeth but maybe with a modern bullet profile, better ballistics if I decide to play "Red River" out in the woods.
