Anti's Trying to make us look bad?

I came across this photo (http://orifice.net/cave/1625.jpg) posted at theforce.net (boards.theforce.net) and it makes my skin crawl!
Is it fake? (I sure hope so!)
WHO would take this photo?
Why would someone photoshop it? To make us look bad?
Ideas?

There's nothing in the world small children won't put, or at least try to put, in their mouths.
The photograph could be a fake; having seen toddlers try to teethe on dog bones and take bites out of dog droppings, however, I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn it's not a fake.

It's 'prolly a toy, not a real firearm. And the pic is most likely NOT photoshoped. Kids will put anything in their mouths. My mother as a picture of me at about the same age, doing the very same thing. Of course, in my pic its a chrome plated toy Colt Peacemaker, not some newfangled automatic. <and its not even a toy Glock > :neener:

Perhaps, I hope, the gun is only a toy.
If not, and the picture is real, someone should probably track down that woman in the picture and arrest her! :fire:
You know, now that I think about it, would that baby be able to hold that gun if it were real? Wouldn't it be too heavy?

The bottom of the mag well looks like one of those little plastic plugs that one finds in a squirt gun.

For all we know the woman pictured above is a confirmed anti, and this picture is deliberately staged by the anti gun lobby to make gun owners look careless and irresponsible!

Her gun. Her baby. Unless gun go ,"BAANG!", I don't see the problem....Real gun or not! Why? 'Cause it ain't my baby and it ain't my gun. If this lady wants to play "Russian Roulette" with her babys life and an auto pistol go right ahead....No law currently on the books would STOP her, only punish her.
No law ever concieved by man can regulate STUPID......
A little callous? Maybe but then again I don't have kids :neener:
PS For those that don't know, you can't regulate evil with laws either.....Don't believe me? Describe the basics and enforcement of a realistic law that could have PREVENTED Jeffrey Domars(sp?), the D.C. snipers,911 terrorist attacks, or Oklahoma City bombings  ......God did however leave us a couple stupid and evil regulators.....They go by many different names, most here would call them Darwin and The 2nd Amm. respectively.... ;)

I would say it's a toy gun. The bottom of the grip ain't right.

As long as two people cleared it beforehand, I don't see what the problem is.

I am not sure I follow the reasoning that just because the picture shows an unsafe firearm handling behavior that it is a picture posted by the antis to make pro gun people look bad.
deej has suggested the woman is an idiot regardless of what type of gun is pictured. I know this is a hard concept to follow, but if it is a plastic toy, then the rules of gun handling don't exactly apply anymore than with my red gun and we use my red gun specifically to point at people.
The 4 rules of gun handling are ethical safety rules that we arbitrarily apply to any firearm or firearm-like object, but that doesn't mean other folks share those same ethical beliefs on what is right or wrong.

Toy gun - baby wouldn't be able to hold the weight of a real one that way.

+1 on no baby being able to hold a real firearm that way.

Yep. People are not required to have even the smallest shred of a clue to have children or firearms.

Hey, it's a chocolate gun. How do y'all eat yours - muzzle first or butt first? I wonder if it's solid or hollow?

Ya know, I've actually seen chocolate guns before(long, long ago). So...how do you know this is one?

Not certain if that is an airsoft...the white spot on the bottom kind of looks like a fill spot for a water pistol. The gun definately looks to be 100% plastic.

Maybe you are not smart enough to have a firearm ? :cuss:
A lot of you people jumped on the emotional bandwagon with tar and featers and should feel shame now :neener: !
PS Now that the obvious has been said about the gun being to heavy to hold like that, the mag well being fake, the gun has a large bore (.40 and better are hefty to say the least),and the fact that this picture defies all logic should set off some red flags...I didn't want to be the first to go off topic so now that the topic was broached, GOT MILK?! ;)

"So...how do you know this is one?"
I don't. I was just funnin'. I can't see getting worked up over a picture. Now if the kid was chewing on a bass plug with a treble hook I'd be worried.
