S&W K Frame?

Seems like all the threads here are about K frame 357's. All my K frames are 38's. Does anyone have a K frame 38 Special? If you do how do you like it?

I picked up a used police trade-in Model 64 at a gun show several years ago and have never had occasion to regret the purchase. It's got a smooth trigger, balances well in the hand, shoots to point of aim, and locks up like a bank vault. Can't ask for more than that. :)

A K frame Smith and Wesson is a great revolver, the culmination of over 100 years of development, and great to shoot. The .38 special is extremely accurate and still a very good defence cartridge.

Yeah, I love the 38's especially the tapered barrels. Have a couple of Mod-10's, a 64, and recently found a nice shooting Mod-15 that I had wanted for some time. Its the best of the lot, smooter trigger, better sights and thus more accurate for me.

I have a couple. My all time favorite handgun is a K38 Combat Masterpiece from 1949 in fact. I don't know if better shooting guns than the 14's and 15's have ever been made.

My first duty weapon was a model 67 and my home defense gun today is a model 15-3. I personally do not like to shoot the .357 Magnums due to arthritis in my wrists and elbows so the .38 Special is a great option for me. I had a .357 Magnum Ruger that I traded for the model 15 and I am very happy with that deal. When I carried the 67 on duty, we were issued the 125 grain +P Speer Gold Dots and now I use the 135 grain Gold Dots and I feel that either will get the job done if need be.

Top to bottom:
M&P 6" in nickel made about 1917.
M&P 5" in blue from around 1940.
Model 10 4" in nickel from 1976.
Model 10 2" in blue from 1070.
All in .38 Special. A truly classic gun and everyone should have one... or four.

No reason to have a .38 special when you can have a .357 MAGNUM! ;) I only have a couple of K-frame .38's, two model 10's (2" and 3" barrel) two model 64's ( 2" and 3" barrel). Was looking at a really nice 4" Model 15 but somebody beat me to it. Plan on getting a nice 4" pencil barrel Model 10 some day. Noticed that CDNN has trade in 2" model 64's for sale (I'd like to have a couple more). Too many K-frames, not enough money. :(
