Those were the neatest things. Fake stag. First thing ya did with a handgun in the 50's and 60's was to get a set just to see how "duded up" you could get your nice blued gun.
Wish they were still around. Cheap but they looked kinda neat.

Yep. The down side is that for a while it seemed like darned near every Luger and SA Colt had a set of Franzite "pearl" or "ivory" or "stag" grips. Naturally, the owner threw the plain old original grips away.

I have picked up a half dozen sets on ebay over the last couple years, haven't paid more than $15 for a set yet either. Some were even in the orginal boxes. Go do a search, they are out there for sale and reasonable too.
