buford1 March 10, 2003, 05:14 AM Where and how? Tim Currie March 10, 2003, 05:34 AM Welcome to the club :) Kahr carrier March 10, 2003, 06:23 AM Congrats especially in the PRK.:) Hand_Rifle_Guy March 10, 2003, 10:28 AM Well, I actually do believe it, but that can only mean you live outside one of the Liberal Urbanplexes the DemocRATs keep whipped into a paranoid frenzy in order to secure therir consistent re-election.. Some of us aren't so lucky. So, I also would like to know which county is flipping Feinswine, Boxer, and their ilk the bird. Moving might could be a reasonable price to pay for at least some semblance of fresh air free of the socialist stink. Now, could we convince you to get a .50 BMG rifle while the getting's good? You could be on a roll, here...;) realmswalker March 10, 2003, 10:28 AM I would also like to know where and how? Steve F March 10, 2003, 10:37 AM Me too;) Me too:cool: 10-Ring March 10, 2003, 10:38 AM I'm interested in the how, I already know he's in CA :) Congrats! I'm trying to start my process. I just have to find the time to drive out to the sheriff hq to get my app since local sub station apparently doesn't have them :banghead: Blackhawk March 10, 2003, 11:34 AM Congratulations! :D Actually, you've joined a very select group in the U.S. It's just harder to join if you live in PRK. :( 50 Shooter March 10, 2003, 11:50 AM HRG, He already owns a .50, i.e. 50 Freak. Hand_Rifle_Guy March 10, 2003, 12:20 PM Coffee hasn't kicked in yet. Um... (Thinking quickly to appear intelligent. Aha!) A'course, he might have a .50 A.E.. I've got an Automag V, but it's a little bulky for CCW. Lots of fun to shoot, though. Hey, I even stayed on topic, sorta. :) Uh, time for more coffee! (Exit stage right clutching shreds of dignity, doubletime. Whew, a close one! ;) ) 4 eyed six shooter March 10, 2003, 12:32 PM I don't know if it's still the same, I escaped from **** about 4 years ago but, if you live in San Diego County and had a business license, you could go into the Sheriff's office and tell them you deposited your daily reciepts at the bank at night and get a CCW. Self defense was not a valid reason in itself, but the business license was enough to get one. Start a small business and go for it. Even if the business is just on paper, it would work. I seem to remember having to show my state tax resale license also. They did not ask for any kind of business records. From what I hear, if you live in LA you have to be really good friends with the mayor to get one. There maybe other counties that also issue. BamBam-31 March 10, 2003, 03:30 PM Kern County, I bet. Not quite North **** (near Sactown and Frisco), nor South **** (near LA). Kind of a lost pocket in ****, where people's rights haven't been completely trampled yet. Lucky bastard. Enjoy. ;) Tim Currie March 10, 2003, 04:39 PM It completely depends on what county you're in. Most of the more rural conservative counties are doable I believe. So just dont live in the Bay, Sac, or So Cal and you're ok :D I *think* most of the sheriffs anything north of Sac, the central valley, and in the Sierras/foothills are pretty much shall issue. I know thats how it works here in Chico :) Sven March 10, 2003, 05:20 PM More like: Which campaign did you contribute to? :p 50 Freak March 10, 2003, 05:37 PM To answer your questions. I work in the Bay Area, but have maintained another residence for the last 4 years further up north. My reason for the CCW was the fact I would commute home every weekend and felt it was a danger on the roads. Second question, yes I own a 50 bmg, is there anyother??? And I'm in the planning stages of getting another:D
