Slug your bore, that's the only way to know what's best for your guns.

Assuming you're talking about lead, the .357's are usually .358 in lead, generally speaking 1 thousandth larger.

Turk,
Slug your chamber throats. The closer you can come to that, the less deformation the bullet will undergo in passage to the muzzle.
If the bullet is less than cylinder throat diameter, it will bump up to fit, unless the bullet is too hard. The bore will likely be smaller, so that the bullet will swage down in the forcing cone as per design.

Guys,

I currently slug my barrels and chamber throat. One of my most accuate bullets is a 44 Mag. Lyman 310 gr. GC KSWC design. In my 629 it shoots best sized to .430 and out of a TC Contender .429 and I take the same bullet and load it in my TC Contender 444 Marlin I size to .430.

What I was wondering is what others generally size the different calibers.

Thanks,

Turk
