Here some pictures I just taken:

A S&W Model 10 and Model 22A

I do however have a cheap digcam. Any tips on taking pics of guns? I do take some decent pics from time to time.

Proper lighting is paramount. Get some desk lamps and make sure your subject has LOTS of light falling on it. If the lighting is too harsh for your tastes, diffuse it by placing a sheet of translucent white plastic (a cut-up milk jug works well for smaller pieces), or tissue paper over the lights (careful not to get them too close to the bulbs). Use sheets of white cardstock or posterboard to fill in dark sections by reflecting light into them rather than lighting them directly.

Also, get as close-in to your subject as you can. With a cheapie digicam, you may not have much latitude as you're limited by it's focus range but generally, the closer in you are to your subject, the more attention you focus on it vs. the background.

Good luck!

Thanks. I used to chair due to contrast.

Yeah be in a well, evenly lit area. And dont use the flash on chromies.

I screwed up. I had the picture size set to the lowist setting instead of 1024x768.

Oh well I'll take more pics later...
