I have a stainless steel Beretta 96FS. I wanted to modify the weapon to smooth out the trigger assembly and take out some of the play in the trigger when the weapon is cocked.

Any suggestions?

There's not that much you can do for the take up, but you can do wonders for the feel of the trigger by installing the "D model" hammer spring. It's an easy swap, takes maybe 75 seconds, and the part is cheap. For anything more involved I'd suggest talking to Ernest at www.langdontactical.com first.

Exactly what Smurfslayer said.... The "d" spring for double action only models changes the da trigger pull from acceptable to "sweet". It makes you wonder why Beretta just doesn't put them in all of the models in the factory. Ernest L. is the Supreme Beretta-ologist.
